Linda Hafter is a Vancouver based visual artist, born in Guadalajara, Mexico. She started painting at a young age when she discovered that art was a way to express her feelings. Her early pieces were oil paintings influenced by Post-Impressionist artists, before moving on to creating surrealism pieces.
Her current work is influenced by Frida Kahlo and is a reflection of her Mexican culture and heritage. She has started experimenting with a series of Mexican folkloric paintings; each artwork relates a story through images of animals, people, and villages with vibrant colours in acrylics.
Linda Hafter’s goal is to make pieces that liven up a room, create conversation, and display vivid colour.
