Rose Poon is a Chinese-Canadian illustrator and cartoonist experiencing a disability, currently based in Vancouver, BC. She originally immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong with her parents and sibling. Her absolute love of Scooby-Doo, Garfield, Snoopy, and Japanese animation inspired her to become an artist.

Rose is primarily a self-taught artist, who is particularly interested in drawing and painting cartoons. She went to Vancouver Community College to formally train as a digital artist. Rose’s works are whimsical, uplifting, and comic-inspired graphic images of animals, nature, and children. She often uses mixed mediums such as watercolour paints and pencils, gouache paints, pencil crayons, markers, ink, and digital paint to create her works.
