Joe Chow founded the original three-piece band, the J-C Band, in the 1960s. Playing on the same stage as Jimi Hendrix. The J-C Band played in various clubs in Vancouver and surroundings, including the Smilin’ Buddah. After the J-C Band broke up, Joe Chow continued writing songs, got airplay on CBC and the local co-op station, and formed a band now known as the Jay Sea Band.
