Wendy Stewart

Wendy Stewart (she/her) is an emerging painter who works with both acrylics, mixed media, and oils and currently lives in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Born in 1968 in White Rock, BC, she spent sixteen years living in the UK before returning to Canada ten years ago. With a degree in Creative Writing, she recently drafted two novels before turning her focus to canvas work only in the last couple of years. Her subjects range from totems to clotheslines and musical icons but one of her favourites to paint are portraits of buildings, some which are slated for demolition, in Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhoods.
